It is not in the New Testament. His last letter, which is in the New Testament, was from Babylon, which is near to Jerusalem. There is no evidence he died in or even visited Rome (although the Apostle Paul certainly did). His death in Rome was asserted a few centuries after it allegedly happened to give backing to the idea that the Pontiff of Rome (the pagan Pontiff's had run the Roman religious structure) was a new spiritual dictator.William P.
